Southern Timber provide softwood deckboard solutions to homes and businesses in Devon & Cornwall. Our whitewood deckboard range in February 2012 starts at £1.24p & VAT per linear metre.
Hardwood decking - IPE, Bangkirai & Iroko
Southern Timber provide hardwood decking products for domestic, leisure & commercial installations in Devon & Cornwall. IPE and Balau/Bangkirai normally kept in stock; Iroko decking machined to order. Osmo and Liberon deck oils can be used to maintain appearance. Hardwood posts, hand rails and spindles also available to order.
Anti-Slip Deckboards & Products
Millboard, Aggredeck and STC anti-slip decking boards provide three differing solutions for commercial and high foot traffic applications. Millboard is a composite product with an algae-resistant surface. Board treatments and deck accessories to help reduce slip hazards associated with difficult to maintain decking areas.

Our quality but affordable softwood deckboards are machined from European redwood timber - they provide a quality finish and enable decking solutions when working to a specific budget. Smooth and dual profiled boards are available in different thicknesses and lengths allowing the tradesman or householder to minimise waste.
Our hardwood decking boards have always been popular especially in the Kingswear, Dartmouth & Salcombe coastal areas of the South Hams. The smooth Ipe deckboards have proved popular in both traditional properties and contemporary developments. Stainless steel deck screws are recommended in these situations.
Anti-slip deckboards tend to be used in commercial and leisure applications, but the introduction of the STC boards in 2011 means they can be used in more demanding domestic applications as well. Southern Timber supplied Millboard decking boards to Paignton Zoo in 2010 - they were not only impressed by the non-slip board surface but also the fact that the boards are manufactured in the UK using more than 50% recycled material.
