Powernailer 
To make flooring installations easier we have available two Powernailer 45R's for short-term hire. These products are only for customers who have bought their flooring from Southern Timber.The Powenailer 45R is designed to make installing hardwood tongue and groove flooring easier and to provide a lasting professional finish. The Powernailer is positioned over the edge of the board to be nailed with the base locating it in the correct position. The plunger is struck with the special mallet provided, driving the Powernailer cleat at a 45-degree angle through the tongue of the board. This helps hold the board firmly, to minimise board movement and the associated squeaking. Powernailer cleats are available in boxes of approx. 1000 at 38mm or 50mm. The plunger has a ratchet mechanism which allows the cleat to be driven home with one, or more, blows if necessary. Flooring boards are held firm by the nails which have small barbs down both edges which also help avoid splitting the tongue or damaging the floor surface when driven in. A deposit of £40 is required when collecting the Powernailer, daily hire is £5 a day. Nails are available in 38mm and 50mm lengths. All customers should call before collection of the Powernailer to check availability and are reminded to bring the Powernailer back on the agreed day. |
