Softwood Deckboards 38mm

Softwood Deckboards 38mm

E Deckboards,ex-38mm x 125mm
Early in 2011 we managed to secure a supply of redwood blanks allowing us to introduce the new range of Trade deckboards. This has made our E range surplus to requirements - allowing us to offer the last of the E deckboards at 99p plus VAT per linear metre. These E deckboards are ex 38mm x 125mm and represent good value for money - when they are gone they really are gone!!!

Dual Profile, Premium Deckboards
We have carried this profile of deckboard for over 10 years now, it has proved very popular due to price, quality and the range of lengths from 3.0m to 6.0m, and even occassionly 6.3m. These deckboards are machined from a quality European redwood; this redwood exhibits tighter growth rings and is denser than the timber used for fencing and carcassing products.

This deckboard is the 38mm x 125mm (finish size 32mm x 120mm) which has a dual profile allowing a choice of which pattern to use, or on larger, mutli-level decks to vary the profiles at different deck levels. This is a premium deckboard and stocks are normally maintained at lengths from 3.0 metre to 6.0 metre in 0.3 metre increments.

When designing your deck you might wish to incorporate our smooth 38 x 125 deckboards. This might be purely for aesthetic reasons but can also be used to highlight changes in deck level. They can be used in larger decks where it is not possible to cover a full run - a 12 metre run could be divided into 3 areas of approximately 4 metres - the smooth boards used to separate the different parts of the deck.

All of our deckboards are imported as sawn redwood blanks then machined and pressure treated in England. This pressure treatment, Tanalith E, starts as a light green but mellows to a light honey brown after being exposed to a few weeks sunlight; after 18-24 months this may change to a grey colour which is perfectly normal. Colours can be maintained and enhanced where required by using decking oil or stains, stocked at Southern Timber.
