Scenic Glass Balustrading

For decks where the elevation is under 600mm we can off the Scenic Glass Balustrade. This is a very flexible product solution, the glass panels are sourced from Deckorators, an American decking specialist. Each pack includes 5 tempered glass "balusters" which have bevelled edges and come with 4 stainless steel screws per glass baluster. Each pack should cover 1.0 metres allowing 100mm for the gap between the last baluster and the post (assuming a 100mm gap between balusters), each baluster is 812mm high.

The pre-drilled glass balusters are designed to sit between two vertical planed timbers, for top and bottom of the rails, with a further planed timber to provide a capping for the top of the rails. Southern Timber can offer quality planed 4RC planed posts with a finished size of 94mm x 94mm. Combined with an ex-38mm x 100mm planed timber (finished thickness of 32mm) for rails and for the capping.Alternatively there are several other timbers with rounded edges to sit between the posts, or an ex-125mm timber where the capping is also sitting on top of the post.

We can offer advice on installation where required the glass balusters can work on steps too. All decking installations where the deck surface is 600mm or greater at the edge of the deck must use an alternative deck spindling system. Deckorators Scenic Glass Balusters are an American product and have been tested to centrally placed loads up to 395lbs.
