Cedar TGV

The TGV profile is machined so that each board interlocks with the adjoining boards allowing for any dimensional movement.

Southern Timber supplies cedar TGV of grade “No. 2 Clear & Better” Western Red Cedar. This grade means that only minor imperfections are allowed and the boards are very stable and naturally insect & rot resistant.

Boards are ex 19mm x 100mm and finish at 14mm thick with a cover of 85mm. Board lengths are variable but the majority are in the range of 3.6m to 3.9m (12’ to 13’).

As with all cedar the colour from board to board varies from a pale pink to a richer reddy colour. Boards should be fixed with stainless steel or bronze alloy fixings – the natural tannins in the board will corrode iron, galvanised and aluminium fixings.
