Iroko
Iroko
Southern Timber obtains joinery timber from a number of specialised importers selected for their quality of product, experience, reliability and purchasing policies. All the hardwood joinery is normally air dried for both economic and technical reasons before it is taken to be kiln dried.Iroko is golden-orange to brown in colour and has an interlocked and sometimes irregular grain. Rather coarse but even in texture it is used for boat building, interior and exterior joinery, laboratory benches, furniture, flooring and marine work.
Sawn Iroko joinery timbers are kept in the following thicknesses:
● 25mm thick, assorted widths & lengths
● 50mm thick, assorted widths & lengths
● 75mm thick, assorted widths & lengths
Other cross sections can be obtained to special order
