Loglap cladding

Our loglap boards are extremely popular where a rounded log cabin effect is required. Both profiles are substantial, machined from quality slow-grown redwood timbers and the rounded profile helps water to drain quickly.

Loglap cladding is stocked in two profiles, ex 38mm x 100mm and ex 50mm x 150mm (1.5” x 4” and 2” x 6”). Even after machining the boards are 32mm and 90mm thick respectively, the choice of board is usually made according to the proportions of the building. Our Office at Ipplepen is clad in the larger loglap because the building is nearly 20 metres x 7 metres wide. The lap on the boards allows for the natural movements of the timber without affecting its performance of a weatherproof barrier.

Used mainly on larger buildings – saunas, garages, summerhouses and offices. Several customers have also used as cladding up to window level and then used alternative cladding for rest of building. All our loglap has been pressure treated and can be left to weather to a silvery-grey finish or the colours can be maintained with a choice of stains or paint.
