Oak joinery

Southern Timber obtains joinery timber from a number of specialised importers selected for their quality of product, experience, reliability and purchasing policies. All the hardwood joinery is normally air dried for both economic and technical reasons before it is taken to be kiln dried.

Similar to European Oak. This American oak joinery has light coloured sapwood with light to dark brown heartwood. Mostly straight grained with medium to coarse texture. Main uses, construction, furniture, flooring, kitchen cabinets, mouldings, architectural and exterior joinery.

Sawn Oak joinery timbers are kept in the following thicknesses:
   ●  52mm thick, assorted widths & lengths
   ●  65mm thick, assorted widths & lengths
   ●  85mm thick, assorted widths & lengths
