Hardwood Ply

Hardwood Ply At Southern Timber we keep two hard wood ply, Chinese hardwood faced ply and far eastern ply which is hard wood throughout. Both types of ply use WBP glue which allows the ply to be used in damp conditions providing the faces and edges receive suitable waterproof treatments.

Chinese Hardwood faced ply panels offer a good quality face veneer and the poplar core makes the plywood lighter than similar panels constructed of other hardwoods. Our Chinese ply normally has red facing and the surface is good for painting and veneering. We sometimes also have hardwood throughout panels from China for applications requiring a stronger product

Far Eastern plywood products are generally made from tropical hardwood and they are normally hardwood throughout. This ply is more suitable if you are cutting the ply into smaller pieces.
