Structural Ply
Structural Ply
At Southern Timber we keep a shuttering or sheathing ply which uses WBP glue; these sheets are also normally graded for use as structural ply. Plywood required for permanent installation as a structural component in regulated building work must satisfy Building Regulation 7. Compliant panels must be marked appropriately.That mark may include a CE mark but the presence of a CE mark alone does not indicate suitability for structural use; our structurally graded panels are stamped as CE2+. While plywood for structural use has historically been of softwood species, some sheets from China and the Far East may utilise some tropical and temperate hardwood.
This ply is used in a wide range of constructional applications – concrete shuttering, structural walls with studwork, site hoarding, shed walls & flooring etc. Please advise our staff if you are cutting the ply into smaller pieces so they can ensure you have the ply most suitable for your purpose.
The following sizes are all kept in stock as 2440mm x 1220mm (8’ x 2’) sheets
● 9mm (3/8”);
● 12mm (1/2”);
● 18mm (3/4”);
● 25mm (1”);
