Stockwalling

Stockwalling

Also known as dungwalling this is a very versatile timber used for livestock housing, stables, log cabins, boathouses and for earth retainers in gardens and landscaping projects. Stockwalling boards have a TGV profile and interlock together - readily lending themselves to constructional work.

Machined from kiln dried whitewood these stockwalling timbers are a substantial ex 200mm x 50mm, not to be confused with smaller products offered elsewhere. Kiln dried timber is used in preference to unseasoned timber because it is more stable and less prone to movement and twist. This is particularly important with a substantial 6.1 metre TGV timber. Length availability is normally 4.572 metres (a full 15’), 4.8 metres (nearly 16’) and 6.1 metres (a full 20’) and the boards have a smooth planed finish.

All crosscuts should be treated twice with Ensele end grain treatment to maintain the timbers resistance to moisture. The loglap is pressure treated and will weather to a silvery-grey finish, or for a low maintenance finish the colours can be maintained with a choice of stains.
