TGV - oak
TGV - oak
This oak cladding profile was introduced in February 2008 to provide an alternative internal cladding option to our redwood boards. Initially the boards were brought in as TGV only, but we do also have bead & butt oak boards as well. These boards are machined from ex 16mm x 150mm kiln dried oak and the boards are stable provided the moisture levels are allowed to adjust to their new surroundings. The bead & butt is a traditional profile that is often found in late Victorian and Edwardian properties. Board lengths are usually in the 1.8 metre (just under 6’) to 2.4 metre (just under 8’) range
Uses vary from wall and partition cladding, wardrobe backs to cupboards. The boards should be allowed to adjust to interior moisture levels for at least seven days before use. They can be finished with hard wax, oils, stains or varnish.
