These boards are machined from quality kiln dried redwood timber. TGV profile boards are machined so that each one interlocks with the adjoining boards while still allowing movement of timber with changes in weather conditions. ..The smaller TGV boards are ex 16mm x 100mm and finish at 14mm thick with a cover of 85mm. Board lengths vary from pack to pack but normally we aim to keep lengths at, or near, 3.6 metres (approx. 12’) and 4.8 metres (approx. 16’) in stock. These boards are often used for making doors, loft extensions, cladding walls and studded partitions.
Our larger TGV boards are ex 25mm x 150mm and finish at approximately 20mm thick with a cover of 125mm. Board lengths vary from pack to pack but normally we aim to keep lengths at, or near, 3.6 metres (approx. 12’) and 4.8 metres (approx. 16’) in stock. These boards are often used for making doors, cladding walls, roof voids and studded partitions.
The boards should be allowed to adjust to interior moisture levels for at least seven days before fixing. They can be finished with oils, stains, varnishes or paint.
