Turned Heel gates

These Turned heel, or Devon heel, five bar gates are made from a planed, smoother finished timber than our normal fieldgates. They still utilise pressure treated timber and mortise & tenon joints, but their smoother finish makes them ideal driveway gates. They are also available to order in hardwood.

These gates are normally made as left-hanging, but can be made as right hanging to order. Please advise when ordering if you want matching gates, or a set of left and right hanging gates

Turned heel gates are normally stocked from 3' "pedestrian" gates up to 13' "vehicle" gates; bespoke sizes can usually be made to order. We carry a range of suitable softwood wooden posts and a comprehensive range of gate furniture.
