Breathable membrane

At Southern Timber we keep two breather membranes to help keep the building watertight, allowing moisture to escape but preventing air leakage which in turn contributes to heat & energy saving.

Web UV10 is the standard membrane supplied in a handy 1m x 50m roll, it can be used as: a breather membrane in timber frame wall construction; tile underlay in cold ventilated/non-ventilated and warm non-ventilated warm pitched roof systems. This is the standard grade breather membrane and is BBA (British Board of Agreement) certified.

Web UV15 is the professional product, a heavier weight membrane (132 gsm - UV10 is 112 gsm) with a higher tear/strength ratio and is supplied in 50 metre x 1.5 metre rolls. Applications are the same as for Web UV10 plus can be used on sarking boards as well as between open rafters.
