Elka Brushed & Oiled Oak

Elka Brushed & Oiled Oak

Elka engineered flooring is a truly practical product, chosen for its strength, flexibility of installation and overall stability. It mimics a solid wood floor, but is actually made of 3 or more layers of real wood with an upper layer of genuine hardwood. Its core strength comes from each layer being stacked in opposite directions, so it can be used in most areas of the home including conservatories and in conjunction with underfloor heating.

These 22mm boards feature a 6mm oak wear layer over a eucalyptus core and eucalyptus or pine backing board. Finished with a hardwax/oil we always recommend an extra coat of Treatex or Osmo hardwax. Board width is 189mm and lengths vary between a minimum 600mm and a maximum of 1860mm. Because of the thickness of the board they are structural and load bearing, making them suitable to fix straight to floor joists.

Installation options are floating over an underlay; glued onto a wooden or concrete sub-floor, or nailed to wooden subfloor or joists.

Last, but not least, the product comes with a 25 year warranty. Also available in Unfinished or Lacquered. Elka unfinished engineered boards provide an attractive, hard wearing flooring solution for all types and ages of property. Being unfinished the boards can be oiled with a choice of Treatex or Osmo light, medium or dark oak finishes. Stocked in 189mm widths.
