Garden raised planters – the benefits
One of the beauties of a timber planter is the fact you can create a reasonably portable self contained growing bed. Herbs, Flowers or fruit and vegetables can be grown in an area of your property best suited (wind, sun, supervision etc.) to what you want to grow in it – you can control the acidity of the growing medium as well. Finally more control can be exerted over plants such as mint and comfrey that might otherwise take over the rest of your garden.
Hutton & Rowlinson Planters
We have sold the Rowlinson range of planters for some time now – they are delivered free of charge direct to the customers UK mainland address. We are now getting more demand for collection and one of our Suppliers ‘Hutton Garden Products’ has increased their production in the last few years.

Looking after your Garden furniture
All of our Hutton garden furniture is pressure treated to help protect the timber against decay and fungal attack. This pressure treatment, Tanalith E, starts as a light green but changes to a light honey brown, then after 18-24 months to a grey colour which is perfectly normal.
Colours can be maintained and enhanced where required by using the range of Osmo UV protection oils, or other wood stains from the Osmo, Treatex, Liberon or Ronseal ranges. If the timber has gone grey the timber colours can be rejuvenated with Osmo Wood reviver Gel.
