EARTHWORX Groundrings Gravel panels are an effective method of containing and stabilising loose aggregate surfacing. This helps to prevent gravel migration, sinking and rutting and makes it possible to walk, cycle and push wheeled vehicles (e.g. wheelchairs and pushchairs) over the surface. When installed to the manufacturers specifications these groundrings can support upto 350 tonnes per m2
The unique design of the grid includes an open mesh base which allows water to pass through whilst preventing the build-up of silt and fine debris within the cell. This prevents the aggregate working its way underneath the grid, causing it to lift and making it very difficult to rectify. You need 4 number 500x500mm squares per metre square, we sell them individually.
In the majority of cases the groundrings are self supporting and do not require pegging. If required we stock steel fixing peg/nails, these would be recommended in heavy traffic areas, 1 peg per tile or 4 per sqm. If you are installing the groundrings on an incline it is strongly advised that you install the recommended 4 pegs per sqm over the whole area not just the heavy traffic areas. Maximum incline the groundrings can be installed on is 20 degrees.
