Product Details

Firstly our tanalised Loglap cladding profiles are machined from quality Scandinavian redwood. The boards are machined with a lap or tongue and groove joints to allow adjoining boards to interlock but still allow some movement which may occur when timber responds to different moisture levels. After machining the boards are pressure treated with new generation Tanalith-E preservative.

Pressure treated with Tanalith

This treatment helps protect the timber against decay and fungal attack and provides an increased service life to untreated timber or boards treated with a standard dip treatment. All cross-cut tanalised timbers should be treated twice with Ensele end grain treatment to maintain the timbers resistance to moisture. Our Loglap manufacturers use redwood timbers and next generation Tanalith E. Therefore combined with strict quality checks means these products are covered by a 15 year Manufacturers ‘Treatright’ warranty.

Loglap size options and availability

We purchase three different profiles of Loglap, this ex. 38mm x 100mm has a finished thickness of approx. 33mm and a cover of approx. 80mm, and it provides a substantial log effect with a 33mm thickness at a reasonable price. However, from 2016 this product is only available to special order by packs only, pack quantities normally minimum 400 metres but enquiries welcome.  We keep in stock an ex. 25 x 125mm log lap, a size that should be suitable for many projects.  Our third and final log lap profile is ex. 50 x 150mm which is ideal for larger buildings and once again can be ordered in for customer special orders in 400 metre plus size packs

Loglap cladding uses

Our tanalised Loglap boards are commonly used to clad summerhouses, timber extensions, garden offices and log cabins. Finally, all of our pressure treated timbers will normally weather to a silvery-grey finish because of the UV rays of natural sunlight. However, colours can be maintained and enhanced where required by using Osmo or other quality exterior oils.
