Our exterior shiplap cladding is machined in the UK from quality Scandinavian redwoods. The lap allows for some board movement which occurs when timber responds to different weather conditions. After machining the boards are pressure treated with new generation Tanalith-E preservative.
Tanalith treatment helps to protect the timber against decay and fungal attack and provides an increased service life to products made with standard dip treatment. Our redwood shiplap cladding carries the Manufacturers 15 year Treatright warranty; all crosscuts should be treated with Ensele preservative.
This tanalised shiplap finishes at 15mm thick and has a cover of 109mm, and it can be used on cladding sections on a wide variety of buildings and structures. Board length availability is variable; the normal range of pack sizes is 3.6 metres up to 5.1 metres. We also keep shiplap cladding profiles of 19mm x 150mm and 25mm x 150mm in stock. Board length availability can be variable; the normal range of pack sizes is 3.6 or 3.9 metres and 4.8 or 5.1 metres.
All our shiplap is pressure treated and will weather to a silvery-grey finish. It is recommended that Colours can be maintained and enhanced where required by using Osmo Country Colour, Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain or Treatex exterior oils. The main image of the Heritage Garden Shed is finished in Pea Green and is available from the Handmade Garden Storage Co.
