The Elka 14mm Rural board, with its band sawn 189mm face and smoked finish, is a stunning product that compliment a modern or traditional home.

This board is manufactured with a 3mm European Oak wear layer with a Eucalyptus and Poplar multi ply core. The Oak is graded as a rustic+ BCDE and will contain repaired knots, sunken knots and repaired splits and cracks. The board is smoked using an ammonia treatment to provide the darker appearance before it is factory oiled with a UV cured oil. Please note that each piece of oak will react differently when smoked due to the differing tannin content in the timber.

All edges of the boards are micro bevelled, and the boards are joined using a traditional tongue and groove fitting system.
The product is sold in 1860mm long packs which will have eight layers of boards, 30 % of boards in each pack which will be starter boards (minimum 600mm). Each pack contains 2.812 sq m of flooring.

Elka’s 14mm Rural Oak has a 25 year structural and 1 year finish guarantee.

This floor can either be floated over an underlay or fully stuck down using an elastic adhesive. We keep Elka Duo Lay flooring underlay and Sika flooring adhesives in stock.
