Hutton Garden Planters
One of the beauties of a timber planter is the fact you can create a reasonably portable self contained growing bed. Herbs, flowers or fruit and vegetables can be grown in an area of your property best suited (wind, sun, supervision etc.) to the plant. Finally more control can be exerted over plants such as mint and comfrey that might otherwise take over the rest of your garden.
Hutton vs. Rowlinson Planters
First of all we started selling Rowlinson garden planters several years ago, they are delivered free of charge direct to the most of the UK mainland. We are now getting more demand for collection and one of our Suppliers ‘Hutton Garden Products’ has increased their production in the last few years. Therefore the most popular Hutton are kept in stock, the rest of their range is available to Special Order.
Huttons Treatright 15 year Warranty
Because these products are UK made using quality kiln dried Scandinavian redwood timber the manufacturer can monitor production very closely. All timber components are machined and treated with preservative on the same 12 acre site, the modular design and components helping to provide a coherent product range. By combining the durability of redwood timber with next generation Tanalith E preservative means that Hutton have offered a 15 Year Warranty on most garden products since 1st April 2015.

Looking after your Garden furniture
Most Hutton garden furniture is pressure treated with preservative to protect the timber against decay and fungal attack. This pressure treatment, Tanalith E, starts as a light green but changes to a light honey brown, then after 18-24 months to a grey colour which is perfectly normal.
Finally colours can be maintained and enhanced where required by using the range of Osmo UV protection oils, or other wood stains from the Osmo, Treatex, Liberon or Ronseal ranges. However, if the timber has gone grey the timber colours can normally be rejuvenated with Osmo Wood Reviver Gel.
