Carmen Pavilion Style and Appearance
Firstly, Rowlinson describe the Carmen as a Pavilion rather than a summerhouse. While it doesn’t matter whether it is a Pavilion or Summerhouse, the Carmen is definitely a contemporary building and provides extra cover and room in the garden.
The walls are constructed using 19mm finish tongue & groove cladding and louvered wall panels. Both the roof and floor are also made using tongue and groove (TGV) boards to reduce the ingress of moisture. The building is supplied with mineral roofing felt.

Supplied Finish and Painting
This timber building is supplied with untreated timber. Rowlinson’s recommend that a suitable wood preservative is applied to both sides of the floor before assembly. The whole of the building’s timbers should be treated with your preferred finish of Woodstain or paint as soon as possible after assembly. Ensure your chosen finish is suitable for use with planed as well as sawn timber.
