Black Slate Click is part of the Quick-Step Ambient Vinyl range.  There are three popular options for the Ambient Black Slate, Click, Click Plus and Glue Plus. Because it is our most popular range our attention below is focused on the Click range.

Black Slate Click specifications

First of all the pack size for the Click is 2.08 square metres and each pack contains 5 planks.  The Ambient Click luxury vinyl will cope with installation on slightly uneven surfaces or old tiles with grout not exceeding 4mm in width and 1mm in depth.  Click vinyl planks are 1300mm in length with a width of 320mm. Thickness of the vinyl is 4.5mm. You might also like the Grey Slate option.

The floor design pattern is tile, bevelled on all four sides with a modern groove bevel. The flooring has a matt finish and is water resistant making it suitable for use in bathrooms.    All Quick-Step vinyl floors are highly water resistant. Therefore they can be used in environments that are occasionally wet, such as a bathroom or kitchen. However this type of flooring should not be used in saunas, steam baths, showers and other extremely wet environments.

Both Click versions are compatible with low temperature underfloor heating.  Because this product is recognised as Class 32 it is suitable for residential use, a step up to Click Plus would be required for commercial use in areas of high foot-traffic.

As for maintenance the Ambient boards are ready for what can be thrown at it. All Quick-Step vinyl floors are sealed with a “Stain Guard” to help keep the floor clean and looking good. Ambient vinyls also feature “Scratch Guard” which means it should be possible to protect your new floor against stains and dirt.

Manufacturers Warranty 

Finally, the Ambient Click tiles install with a click fitting and enjoy a 20 year domestic warranty and a Lifetime warranty on the Click system. However, Commercial installations have to apply direct to Quick-Step to request a warranty.  Quick-Step may then grant a Warranty up to a maximum term of 10 years.
