Arley Summerhouse Style & Appearance
The Rowlinson Arley Summerhouse is supplied untreated and must be protected with a wood preservative within 3 months of assembly. The Arley is designed with double doors and two opening windows at the front. See also the Eaton Summerhouse
The summerhouse walls utilise timber panels made with 12mm finished shiplap cladding. While the roof uses solid board the floor is made of 12mm tongue and groove (TGV) timber boards. It is vitally important (as with all buildings) that the building is placed on pressure treated bearers to ensure the timbers are not in ground contact. More details are in the building assembly instructions. The building is supplied with mineral felt for the pitched roof. All four windows and the bi-folding doors are glazed with 3mm toughened glass.

Supplied Finish & Painting
This timber building is supplied in a stained finish but Rowlinsons state that the building must be properly treated with a recognised external wood preserver within 3 months of assembly. Rowlinson’s also recommend that a suitable wood preservative is applied to both sides of the floor before assembly. Ensure your chosen finish is suitable for use with planed (as opposed to sawn) timber.
