Roofing Accessories

Some products can be successfully installed with generic accessories – nails, glues and screws. However, the performance of other products can be enhanced by selecting specific products – please see selection below. 

Guttapral Corrugated Roofing

Guttapral corrugated roofing sheets are made from colour-saturated and formaldehyde-free bitumen. Ous Southern Timber Yard in Devon stocks black and green sheets along with matching Gutta bitumen ridges. Accessories you should consider: 

Gutta translucent sheets and Gutta nails are available for this corrugated roofing – nailing position on the sheet, and angle into timber, both important.  Translucent sheets should be stored in shade, preferably single because stored in a stack in direct sunlight can cause the translucent sheets to overheat and then distort. 

Polyester Box Profile (32/1000) Juniper Green 

Box profile polyester-coated steel sheets provide a cost-effective roofing option for stables, workshops, garages and agricultural buildings.  Our standard box profile is 32/1000 and Juniper Green in colour.

Profile is 1000/32 and our normal stock lengths have a full 1.0 metre cover width. Other lengths can be produced to order – up to 9.0 metres – but these longer sheets are very difficult to handle. Please double check if you are matching profiles.

Other roofing accessories include GRP Rooflights (2.0m, 2.5m or 3.0m) lengths; Tek screws (sheet to timber: and sheet to steel) are stocked in several popular lengths. Sticher screws (steel sheet to steel sheet) are stocked at 22mm along with foam fillers, ridges and barge boards from stock.
