We carry a selection of Western Red Cedar products, mainly Planed Square Edge (PSE) and cladding. These are prestige products which need to be carefully secured with the correct type of  fixings. 

Premium Cedar Sections

Our cedar cladding selection includes exquisite Western Red Cedar sections, such as the 'L' Section and PSE. Known for their clean, superior finish, WR Cedar products enhance the visual appeal and longevity of cedar timber projects

Stainless steel fixings

Western Red cedar is renowned for its longevity, mainly derived from the large amount of tannin that it carries. The only fixings suitable for securing cedar are stainless steel, copper, and bronze - other metals react badly with the tannin. Amongst other nails, we stock 38mm stainless steel annular ring nails, ideal for securely fastening cedar cladding. These nails ensure durability and resilience for your installations.

UV Protection Oils

To preserve the natural beauty of your cedar,will require applying Osmo UV-Protection Oils or specialised Treatex UV oils. Both Osmo 410 and 420 provide some protection but because they contain no pigment they will grey down after about  12-18 months. Osmo oils provide essential defence against UV rays and weathering, maintaining the wood's pristine condition. If the product greys too much for individual taste then Osmo 428 also contains some reddy-brown pigment to rejuvenate the appearance.
