Quality European Oak engineered floorboards
The Oxford UV Oiled range of oak floor boards are quality engineered floorboards manufactured with European oak and machined in Europe. Engineered boards are designed to minimise movement in more demanding flooring situations – for example, kitchens, utility rooms, rooms with under-floor heating and conservatories. We stock the UV oiled oak boards but can obtain other colours and -finishes to special order.
Oxford engineered floorboard specification
Each Oxford engineered oak board is a single strip 180mm wide and end-matched, i.e. tongue & grooved on all four sides, to minimise wastage. These boards are machined in Europe with a generous 2.5mm oak wear layer and are laminated to a timber core. The boards are 14mm thick and machined with micro-bevelled edges around both the long and short board edges. The board grade is AB and the fitting is via a 5g Click system for an easier installation.
Board pack sizes
Each pack of 2.268 square metres contains seven boards of 1.8 metre length. When ordering your Oxford UV Oiled floor and calculating your requirements please allow at least 10% for wastage and please place your order in square meters so we can calculate how many packs are required.
Your oak floor boards should be stored on-site to condition before laying, all wet trades work must have finished and all surfaces dried out. After fitting the Oxford flooring will provide an attractive and hardwearing floor but to finish the installation these unfinished boards require a durable finish. We recommend using a quality Hardwax-Oil hybrid such as Osmo Polyx or Treatex Hardwax. As with all types of floor surface some care needs to be taken with chairs, table legs etc. to minimise the scratching of the floor. This flooring is covered by a 20 year Manufacturers Domestic Warranty
