Millboard Composite Cladding

The Millboard Composite wall claddings are marketed under Shadow Line + and Board & Batten+. With years of successful deckboard manufacture Millboard can now offer cladding with desirable properties for cladding. By selecting and mixing together a selection of raw materials they have produced a unique product to achieve the required performance levels.

Intended for both residential and commercial projects, these composite wall cladding boards replicate the natural beauty of ‘real’ wood. At the same time they provide durability and resistance to weather conditions.

Natural wood appearance

Visual appearance of the boards is important, so each cladding length is hand-moulded and coloured with pigments that are designed improve resistance to sun damage and fading. The result is a wood-grain appearance in a composite material.

Wood free material

The cladding is both wood free and non-porous. There should be little, or no, leaching from these boards which can be a problem with oak timbers in particular. Likewise the wood-free boards have a surface layer which is more resistant to scratches and the demands of an exterior environment.

Strong but lightweight

The structural core of these boards features a mixture of natural minerals bonded with polymer resin. Renewable fibre reinforcements are added for strength and durability. This helps to keep the boards split and rot free and provides no internal hiding place for insects.

Millboards’ Board and Batten+

Board & Batten+ is crafted with fire retardants within its composition. Tested to the rigorous demands of BS EN 13501-1, the Board & Batten+ system achieves a classification of Euroclass D.

This product is now available in 6 colours and has colour co-ordinated colour head screws, touch-up paint and trim to complete the look.

Board sizes are 26mm x 200mm and 3600mm in length. There is no alternative length board. To get a ball-park figure on cladding work out your square meterage to be clad and multiply/divide by 1.53 (e.g. 30 sq. metres wall would need 20 x 1.53 = 30.6 sq. metres
