Quality of materials
Our trellis panels are made from pressure treated battens. Pressure treatment involves the timbers being impregnated with preservative – it is often referred to as tanalised timber. and make a useful alternative to standard lap or featheredge fence panels.
Installation
Smaller size trellis panels tend to be added to the top of existing fence panels where a little more height is required. Wherever possible screw the trellis to existing framework – you might even want to add extra battens to your existing fence.
Finally, most trellis panels are now made at size 1.8 metre x 1.8 metre. You might find you still have some panels, or trellis panels, that 1.83 metre x 1.83 metre. It should be an easy task to add some extra batten. Rember to use some Ronseal End Grain Protector if you start cross cutting timber battens or postsduring construction..
