75 x 225mm KD 4RC Pressure Treated C24 (PEFC Certified), per metre

The growth in open plan living areas has meant increased demand for larger section size, and length, of structural timbers. British timber grows too quickly to grade at C24 so we buy this C24 regularised timber from Scandinavia. This is high quality C24 Graded Timber stock.  We purchase packs of regularised timber, the timbers within each pack having consistent dimensions.  These C24 timbers also have a smoother planed finish than traditional sawn carcassing. Most regularised timber has “eased” edges, the machining processing means that the nominal sizes are reduced slightly.

Timbers all pressure treated with preservative

Our timber carcassing is pressure treated with Tanalith E, or similar, timber preservative. These timbers are intended for use above the ground DPC but where the timber may be subjected to the risk of occasional wetting. Therefore, all cut ends should be resealed with the appropriate end-treatment, e.g. end-grain wood preservative should be used on any cross-cut carcassing.

Large timber stocks

Good quantities of 75mm carcassing stock are kept at our Devon premises, pricing is competitive and enquiries are welcomed for pack quantities. Because stock turn is good across most of the 75mm range, we usually keep back-up stock in the Yard. Replenishment from the docks normally takes 3-5 days.

Stocks normally kept in Yard for 75mm x 200mm:

75mm x  225mm (9x3 in Imperial measurements) at 3.6 metres

75mm x 225mm (9x3 in Imperial measurements) at 4.8 metres

75mm x 225mm (9x3 in Imperial measurements) at 6.0 metres

Larger section timbers, such as 9" x 3", sometimes comprise two timber lengths being finger jointed with no loss of strength or structural integrity
