Decking
We are a timber merchant with large decking stocks including softwood, hardwood and composite deck boards. Situated near the Devon coast between Exeter and Plymouth we hold considerable stocks of decking boards and decking products. Decking material prices may vary considerably, but there is normally something for every budget.
Softwood Decking materials for affordable decking
Premier deckboards head our softwood decking range with ex.125mm width profiled boards up to 6.0 metres in length. Deck boards are also available with a smooth finish, or, an anti-slip profile featuring a grit strip. Planed posts, beaded newels and spindles can be combined with rebated hand and base rails to provide balustrading solutions for elevated decks and stairs.
Millboard Decking boards for high-end installations
Millboard decking features both contemporary and traditional style composite deckboards, fascias and step edgings. Using significant amounts of recycled materials the Millboard composite decking range brings a choice of style to domestic and commercial deck installations
Hardwood Decking for traditional locations
Hardwood deckboards, machined from yellow balau, are kept in stock. These ex-150mm boards have either a smooth or castellated profile. When first fitted these hardwood boards exhibit a range of light red-brown tones which mature into differing shades of grey. They provide a vivid contrast to lush green Devon gardens.
Hardwoood deckboards should be secured with stainless steel screws. Board stability, mainly shrinking and swelling, can also be improved by the use of Osmo End Grain Sealing Wax. If a more contemporary finish is preferred the colours can be prolonged with the use of hardwood decking oils or stains
