Scandinavian Redwood Planed and Tanalised
In addition to planed and profiled (shiplap, loglap etc.) boards we also carry square-edge timber machined from quality redwood. Most of thee timbers finish at approximately 20mm thick. Hoeverm we have the ex-200 timbers machined from 32mm. This means the machined timber finishes at approximately 27mm x 194mm. The extra thickness helps to keep the timber flatter and less liable to cup. Finished thicknesses will vary slightly because movement which may occur when timber responds to weather and moisture conditions
Tanalised PSE Timbers
Tanalised timber (more correctly labelled referred to as ‘Pressure Treated’) are timbers which have been pressure treated with preservative. This product is treated using Next generation TANALITH E wood preservative which provides a 15 year TREATED-RIGHT performance warranty against wood decay and insect attack (terms and conditions apply). All cross-cuts must be treated twice with end-grain preservative
Planed ex.32mm x 200mm tanalised lengths
The timber lengths we keep in stock may be variable, but tend to be supplied at 4.5 metres. This because their main uses - fascia, ridge boards, window reveals - lend themeseles to longer lengths. We show boards priced per metre for comparative purposes but we do not sell 1.0 metre length timbers
The following planed stock timbers are pressure treated with Tanalith E timber preservative. These timbers are intended for use above ground level and they should not be used in ground contact. They are intended for uses where the timber may be subjected to the risk of occasional wetting. The timbers can be painted with normal primer/undercoat/gloss pain providing the timber has a moisture count of 18 degrees or less. ALternatively you can use Osmo Country Colour. Once again the timber must be dry, but the great thing with Country Colour is the one-paint system - just two coats should be sufficient. No primer/undercoat or gloss. When the surface needs a repant then sand back until the surface is sound and paint over the top.

ex.25 x 175mm (fin.19 x 169) PSE Tanalised (FSC Mix) - ridge boards, soffits, fascia etc.
