Fencing

We are a Devon timber merchant with large and varied fencing stocks.  Whether you are a fencing contractor, or end user, there are many options including featheredge, fence panels, pales and composite fencing.

Featheredge fencing timber

Featheredge boards from 1050mm up to 4800mm in length, board width choices include 125mm, 150mm and 175mm. All stock sawn and pressure treated. Combine with UC4 tanalised posts, fence rails and gravel boards to create a flexible fencing solution. 

Fencing Panels

Timber fence panels provide a rapid transformation to garden appearances. Both traditional lap fence panels and featheredge boards are still popular.  Stocks include designer privacy and lattice panels to suit different budgets and needs. Hazel hurdles and sawn trellis provide other fencing options. Please remember that panels generally require at least 2 bags of Remix (aka Postcrete, Post Crete) fast setting concrete for each post.

Pales for fencing

Pales are a traditional style of garden fence combining posts, horizontal rails and planed round-top pales. These pales, or pickets, are available in a range of heights with matching pale gates and panels available.

For a more rustic finish there are longer square-top sawn boards in 75mm and 100mm widths. The fence installer can cut these sawn timbers to custom lengths, particularly useful on sloping ground.

Composite fence system from Durapost

In 2022 we introduced the DuraPost post system with panels or planed fence components. The DuraPost system offers powder-coated posts with a selection of colours for a crisp contemporary finish.

Agricultural and Commercial fencing

Post and rail, with or without wire fencing makes up the majority of our trade fence orders.  Whether for fence maintenance or dividing up larger fields into smaller parcels we can help.  Most stocked round posts are graded as UC4i and covered by the Manufacturers 15 year service life warranty.
