These JamesHardie Internal Corners are part of JamesHardie’s MetalTrim range and they are manufactured from high quality coated aluminium. Using James Hardie internal and external corners produces a more professional finish. Where required these MetalTrim™ corners can be cut by using a hacksaw, or chop saw, with a metal blade. Hardie Internal (and external) External Corners are available in all 21 current HardiePlank® cladding colours. All lengths are 3.0 metres.
Please note that the JamesHardie MetalTrim corner profiles should only be installed vertically. Any cuts should be made with a suitable saw or shears, all cuts must be clean and straight. Care should be taken when cutting so that the trim is not damaged.
Many questions can be answered by the JamesHardie install video When installing Hardie products care should be taken to follow the James Hardie published Installation manual. The Hardie trims should be secured with stainless steel nails, the nail heads should be flush. It is important that the nails are not over-driven or under-driven.
When these metal trims are butt joined together care must be taken to align them correctly before fixing. This is because in cases of extreme heat there is the possibility of thermal expansion. For best results when fixing the trim, fix at the top first, then the base and then finally at remaining locations. The maximum recommended spacing for these fixings is 1.5 metres.
When installation is completed the protective plastic film cover should be removed immediately. If the cover is left in-situ it may become trapped behind the cladding and make it difficult to remove. In the event of any chipped metal trims during fixing then use the corresponding James Hardie Edge Colour to rectify.
