Our Large Circular Picnic Table is sourced from the Hutton garden products range. This range of garden furniture is made in the UK using quality kiln dried Scandinavian redwood timber. All timber components are machined and treated with preservative on the same 12 acre site. Using a modular design and components helps to present a uniform looking product range. Many of the Hutton range of tables, picnic benches, chairs, arches and arbours are available from stock at Southern Timber, other products available to order. This Large Circular Picnic Table was first introduced as one of our 2019 stock products.
Joinery quality timber & Tanalith treatment
The Large Circular Picnic Table (LCPT) is made in the UK by a manufacturing group that was established in 1970. The group imports and processes timbers from well managed forests, most products being FSC certified. Because quality is important all our Hutton garden furniture is machined from kiln dried joinery quality Scandinavian redwood timber.
Firstly the redwood sections are machined in the factory and then they are pressure treated in batches with Tanalith-E wood preservative. This product enjoys an increased service life over most products that use a standard dip treatment. The Manufacturers provide a 15 year Treated-Right Warranty against wood decay and insect attack, (terms and conditions apply), please retain your Invoice as proof of purchase

The Large Circular picnic table is a heavy duty design made from ex 50mm timber. Designed to seat up to 8 people, it also provides wheelchair access between the benches.

When comparing products it is advisable to check product specification as well as prices. Cheaper products may be available but they are often made using dipped whitewood and machined overseas.
Looking after your Garden furniture
Because all of our Hutton garden furniture is pressure treated it helps protect the timber against decay and fungal attack. This pressure treatment, Tanalith E, starts as a light green but changes to a light honey brown. However, after 18-24 months the picnic table will fade to a grey colour which is perfectly normal.
Colours can be maintained and enhanced where required by using wood stains from Osmo or Treatex. If the timber has gone grey the timber appearance can be rejuvenated with Osmo or Liberon wood cleaners. Using a woodstain on top of the cleaned table should brighten the product considerably.
