Tanalised Lap Fence Panels
These lap fence panels are made in England by a specialist timber panel, gate and building manufacturer who has been trading since the 1940’s. They are made to a high specification, with pressure treated components and the products are very competitively priced. When comparing the price of these panels you must consider the quality, we have looked at supplying lower price panels but the quality loss is too great.
Traditional Lap Panels
Our HD Lap panels use a traditional design which combines horizontal lapped 4-5mm thick slats with vertical battening – there are five 18mm x 38mm battens on each side. This helps to minimise flex and increase the panel’s strength by holding the overlap slats in place. These components are cut as a separate stage of the panel making process; the timber is supplied by other UK businesses. The timber fence slats are topped with sloped capping to minimise water ingress and to provide an attractive finish to the top of the panels.
Originally our panels used waney edge slats, but since early 2015 our panel slats now have straight trimmed edges . This produces a more uniform looking fence panel. The panels are pressure treated with a light green Osmose preservative which mellows in colour when exposed to daylight.
Because of the high cost there are no half-panels available kept in stock. Most Trade customers place batten down both sides of the panel at the desired size and cut the panel down. We do stock left and right hanging matching panel gates. These panels can be teamed with either standard sawn posts or 15 Year warranty permaposts
