The Genuine Oak flooring is one choice from Quick-Step's Imperio collection. Quick-Step's flooring range features engineered timber boards, laminate and quality vinyl options.
Firstly the pack size for the Genuine Oak Extra Matt is 1.936 square metres and the pack contains 4 planks. Each plank is 2200mm in length with a width of 220mm. The thickness of these engineered flooring boards is 13.5mm. The top wear layer of oak is 3.2mm and the boards have a spruce core board. These "Genuine Oak" boards have a large bevel on all 4 sides, and the boards are quite light in colour. The flooring has an extra matt finish. You might also consider the Variano Seashell White Oak (2200mm x 190mm) as an option
Floor grades included in the Imperio range are all Vibrant, except the Rough Grey Oak Oiled which is Marquant grade. The boards are deep brushed so as to highlight the natural grain of the wood planks. These Vibrant grade boards feature natural knots and they are not all fully filled, this grade is best described as rustic. Finally, these engineered oak boards are UV lacquered with a 7 layer finish.
Click or Glue Installation
The flooring can be installed quickly and easily using Uniclic's Multifit system. Professional installers claim floor installation of up to 30% faster than with traditional installation methods. Both Click and Glue versions are compatible with low temperature underfloor heating.
Due to demand for a quick and easy floor installation these boards feature the Uniclic ‘Multifit’ system. This Multifit system enables the engineered boards to be clicked together using three different methods: drop down, angling or horizontal insertion.
Because maintaining the floor’s appearance is important these boards feature ‘EdgeProtect+’ on the board ends. This protective coating is applied to minimise water and dirt ingress into the board ends.
Genuine Oak Engineered Wood Warranty
Engineered wood floors bearing the trade mark Quick-Step® are warranted to be free of manufacturing errors or material defects. This residential warranty is for the lifetime (up to 33 years) of the product. Also covered are the Uniclic® connections between the boards. Therefore the original, dated purchase invoice must be retained. Residential warranties are also subject to number of Terms and Conditions. Commercial installations have to apply directly to Quick-Step to request a warranty.
