Treated C24/C16
C24 graded timber is among the best quality timber types that are available. Kiln dried to reduce its natural moisture content, C24 grade timber is a strong timber that is resilient to fungal spores and insect attacks.
C24 treated timber is normally suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. While C24 refers to the strenght grading, it typically has less knots than other structural timber grades. A popular choice for outdoor landscaping projects presure treated C24 treated timber can be stained or painted to complement your project designs.
Construction C24 Graded Timber
Almost all building projects use C24 construction graded timber. Construction projects are regulated and specify suitable materials for new-builds, extensions, and loft conversions. We stock these timbers as C24 grade timber, C16 grade is only stocked as a last resort.
Timber combines a high strength-to-weight ratio, has a traditional feel and appearance, and is relatively easy to cut and fix. The environmental credentials of C24 treated timber are also favourable when compared to steel and concrete.
C24 build section timbers
Some new builds might need an unusual specification of timber, possibly an 11-metre length or a much larger cross-section than normal. We can order larch up to 8.4 meters in length and get them graded to C24 and treated if required.
Finally, we keep stocks of structural ply, P5 Chipboard and OSB, that may be needed in the early stages of construction.
