Clarendon Summerhouse Style and Appearance
The Clarendon Summerhouse has an attractive styled roof. Features include two fixed and two opening windows. The locking double doors are also part glazed. All doors and windows feature toughened glass. This model is our nearest in appearance and features to the Rowlinson Chatsworth which was discontinued in August 2018. There is also a Ryton 8’ x 6’ Summerhousewhich is similar in style to the Clarendon Summerhouse
Summerhouse Construction
The wall sections are clad with a planed shiplap cladding. While the pitched roof uses solid board the floor is made of tongue and groove (TGV) boards. It is vitally important the building is placed on pressure treated bearers. Above all the summerhouses’ supporting timbers should ideally be treated for ground contact. More details are in the building assembly instructions. The summerhouse is supplied with mineral felt for the roof. All four windows and the double doors are glazed with 3mm toughened glass.

Supplied Finish and Painting
Firstly, this timber building is supplied ready stained but Rowlinsons describe this as “Therefore to VALIDATE the guarantee, the building must be properly treated with a recognised external wood preserver WITHIN 3 MONTHS of assembly and RE-TREATED ANNUALLY thereafter”. Rowlinson’s recommend that a suitable wood preservative is applied to both sides of the floor before assembly. The whole of the building’s timbers should be treated with your preferred finish of Woodstain or paint. This should be as soon as possible after assembly. Finally, please ensure your chosen finish is suitable for use with planed (as opposed to sawn) timber.
Delivery, Assembly and Stock Availability
The Rowgar Clarendon Summerhouse is delivered in flat pack format to kerbside ready for customer assembly. Therefore each product is supplied with comprehensive Assembly Instructions.
All Rowlinson’s Garden Products are supplied direct from their Cheshire Warehouse. Therefore no summerhouses are available for collection from our Devon premises.
