Pent Security Shed 8×8

This Pent Security Shed 8×8 (BCSEC88N) is designed to be more secure than the average garden shed. It represents one of Rowlinson’s Paramount collection of more specialised garden sheds and buildings. This is a medium sized and functional building which should accommodate a range of garden tools and machinery. Also consider the Security 8×8 Shed painted anthracite

Buildings Construction

Firstly, this shed’s sides are clad with 19mm tongue and groove cladding. These cladding boards are planed and clad horizontally on the walls and on the double doors. The double doors are lockable and provided with lock and key. The security shed features plexiglass glazing and the windows are positioned at the top of the building. Constructed with a 12mm solid board roof.

Because the Natural finish shed is supplied untreated it is necessary to paint this shed with a quality timber preservative or paint within 14 days of being assembled. The building should then be retreated every 2 years. If you purchase the Anthracite version then the building should require no further treatment for two years.

Above all it is vitally important that this timber building is placed on pressure treated bearers to ensure the shed’s timbers are not in ground contact. More details are in the enclosed assembly instructions. Finally the building is supplied with mineral felt for the pent style roof.

Delivery and Garden Building Installation

All Rowlinsons garden buildings are delivered to kerbside and in flat pack format for customer assembly. Therefore each product is supplied with Assembly Instructions. They can also be downloadable from this page in PDF format.

Adequate provision must be made to avoid ground contact and ensure that air can circulate underneath the building. Placing the building on a concrete pad or slab base is acceptable provided that the shed is not allowed to sit in pooled water during wet conditions. Therefore, if the building is to sit on soil or grass it MUST be erected on pressure treated wooden 50mm x 50mm or similar bearers (These are not supplied in the kit). Rowlinson Garden Products recommend using pressure treated bearers with all buildings on any type of base

All Rowlinson’s Garden Products are supplied direct from their Cheshire Warehouse. Therefore no Skylight sheds are available for collection from our Devon premises.
