The Herefordshire Arbour is a recent addition to the Hutton range of garden furniture. Hutton garden products are made in the UK using quality kiln dried Scandinavian redwood timber. All timber components are machined and treated with preservative on the same 12 acre site. Modular design and components help produce a cohesive garden product range. Many of the Hutton range of tables, picnic benches, chairs, arches and arbours are available from stock. Other Hutton Garden Products, including this Arbour, are available to special order only.
Joinery quality timber & Tanalith treatment
The Herefordshire Arbour is made in the UK by a manufacturing group that was established in 1970. The group imports and processes timbers from well managed forests, most products being FSC certified. All our Hutton branded garden furniture is machined from kiln dried joinery quality timber.
After the redwood sections are machined they are then pressure treated in batches. This treatment is a “next-generation” Tanalith-E wood preservative. This treatment helps protect the timber against decay and fungal attack. In short it provides an increased service life to products that are made using standard dip treatment.

When comparing garden timber products it is advisable to check product specification. Although cheaper products may be available this is usually because they are made using dipped whitewood. The Avon Corner Arbour is backed by Hutton’s 15 year Treat Right Warranty against decay and fungal attack.
Looking after your Garden furniture
All of our Hutton garden furniture is pressure treated to help protect the timber against decay and fungal attack. This pressure treatment, Tanalith E, starts as a light green but changes to a light honey brown. Then after 18-24 months the furniture will change to a grey colour which is perfectly normal. Also remember that colours can be maintained or enhanced where required by using timber treatments. We can supply Osmo 420 UV protection oil and other wood stains from Osmo or Treatex. If the timber has gone grey the timber appearance can be rejuvenated and then painted.
