Overview of CLS Timber

Our CLS carcassing stock is available in sizes 75mm (3x2) and 100mm (4x2). CLS timber is normally used for studwork partitions and so we keep 2.4 metre lengths for interior and 4.8 metre for exterior builds. Stocks are normally graded at C16, sometimes C24 and PEFC sourced.  The PEFC are dedicated to promoting sustainable forest management through independent third-party certification

The normal stock lengths we carry are:

James Hardie fibre cement is thinner and lighter in weight than most alternative buidling materials. Care must be taken in unloading and handling the fibre cement planks. However, these products are low-maintenance, resistant to water boards and enjoy a 15 Year Manufacturers Warranty.  This applies to all external Hardie Colourplus products and the Warranty covers against warping, cracking, peeling, rot and adverse climatic conditions.  We stock all 21 colours of Hardie Plank and all 8 colours of  Hardie VL plank.   

Hardie Plank

Hardie Plank is a fibre cement board that is fitted by overlapping successive boards. Each plank is 3.6 metres long and normallly laid horizontally. The first board is fitted onto a Hardiie Starter strip which provides the angle for the cladding layers. Once the first layer is fitted progress is quick, even more so if you invest

Picnic Tables and Picnic Benches

Rowlinson Garden Products have kept it simple by supplying a choice of traditional 4ft. Picnic Bench, 5ft Picnic Bench or 6ft Picnic Benches.  These benches will seat up to 4 people,  6 people and 8 people respectively. These picnic benches are often referred to as picnic tables - they are best considered as picnic tables with bench seats. Both the table top and bench seats are pressure treated with preservative and can be painted or stained

A new year and a new product, Deck Tape.

The objective of Deck Tape is to protect the integrity of your timber deck frame.  Your decking is only as good as the framework it sits on.  This deck tape is self-sealing but easy to tear when fitting. It is not a Butyl based product and is UV Stable. We are initially stocking 30 metre rolls of 65mm for single joists and 30 metre rolls of 100mm tape for double joists. 

Other products we will stock from the same manufacturer include black Clad Tape and orange Scrim Tape. 

Millboard’s decking boards are manufactured to high standards.

If you are registering Millboard decking boards, edging or fascia boards they will issue you with either a 25 Year Limited Structural Decking Warranty or a 5 Year Limited Structural Decking Warranty, depending on the installation application of the boards. You must register within 90 days of purchase and ensure the Millboard’s Durafix® fixings have been used to fix the decking to the subframe.

If you are registering Millboard Envello products they will issue you with a 15 Year Limited Structural Cladding Warranty. This registration must be done within 90 days of purchase.

Cladding for Housing and Garden Buildings

While the weather isn't great for sitting outdoors it does give time for thinking and planning. Now you can price for projects later during the spring and summer.  Demand for "outdoor space" and enjoying the garden continues to increase. We can supply a range of garden buildings and log cabins that can satisfy most situations. James Hardie have added VL Plank cladding to their fibre cement family of products. Starting with a range of 6 natural colours, and a natural looking cedar texture, this tongue and groove cladding is becoming more popular.

James Hardie cladding and weatherboards are made from advanced fibre cement materials, which are non-combustible, compared to wood cladding and uPVC cladding. Because of its relatively high-density fibre cement is naturally resistant to adverse events such as fire, extreme weather conditions, pests, rot and fade.

James hardie have partnered with Tenmat to design and promote the Tenmat FF102/50  which is a Ventilated Cavity FIre Barrier. lated Cavity Fire Barriers, are manufactured from a low smoke zero halogen high expansion intumescent material. They are designed to reinstate fire resisting performance to external wall cavities that are required to be ventilated (open-state) in non-fire conditions. The FF102/50 is manufactured from a rigid intumescent material allowing it to be provided in a strip format, it is also covered with a protective layer of aluminium foil for ease of handling.
